Réverbération d'une crise
While the socioeconomic impacts of the housing crisis are well-documented, its many psychological, emotional, relational, and existential impacts often remain overlooked in current research. Réverbérations d’une crise sheds original light on this timely issue by using sound as a medium for reflection, creation, and intervention on a problem with significant impact on the lives of Montrealers.
The project is carried out by a collective of Montreal tenants who share practices in music, art, and sound media. Members of the collective include musician Claude Périard (Claude L’Anthrope), multidisciplinary artist Philippe Battikha, and activist and musician Stefan Christoff. Through a series of listening, recording, reflection, discussion sessions, and exercises, the collective undertook a process of investigation and composition over several months. This project is led by musician and researcher Hubert Gendron-Blais (ce qui nous traverse) on behalf of the collective.
